Tumble Dryer Door Interlock Assembly Bitron DDL-SR 160019772.05 Stock Number: ES552148
Spare part suitable for select models of Hotpoint, Indesit and Ariston tumble dryers
is there any brackets or screws required as my old part has come clean off.Does it clip onto the hole where the door hatch enters into the front
- Just fitted this and took no more than 5 minutes. Just removed top and reached down inside machine.
- This part is difficult to get at unless you arms are 5 feet long and matchstick like. more seriously you need to remove at least the top front panel holding the timer. you may just get to it and remove it by a side shift and pull out. Personally I just had to remove the complete front including the bottom panel to remove a few anchor screws, don't be scare though it is very easy, make sure you mark up the wiring for replacement The interlock come out very easy with a side shift first and a gentle tug. I have yet to replace the front panel as Iam only just ordering the part. Looking at the main door panel it is going to be most important to make sure the exhaust pipe is fixed firmly in place both on the front panel and on the outlet at the back. once i attain this it is just a few self tappers to replace and a successful job will be complete.
- switch is a snap in fitting and has no fixing screws
I have just ordered a tumble dryer door lock assembly from you for a TVM560P.It has three connections numbered 3,4,5. I have three wires grey, brown and pink/white. Whuich goes to which? 2 Answers
- Standing in front of the machine with the door nearest you and top cover removed, look down from the top at the terminals, the pink/white goes on the left terminal, the brown with the plastic cover goes on the middle terminal, and the grey goes on the right terminal. That's how mine is wired.

Hi there, I'm afraid we don't have a circuit diagram - unfortunately you must take a note of how the original interlock is wired before de-assembling it! What I can say is that usually the terminals will only fit in one slot on the interlock.
Just ordered this assembly for my Hotpoint TCFM90C6PUK but the video is for a different model where the interlock is behind the control panel. The lock for my dryer is on the LHS in the door recess and has no visible signs of access. Do I need to start removing panels etc?

You are best to remove the left-hand side panel to gain access to the door lock.

we believe that the most likely cause would be the motor capacitor, test this before suspecting anything else.
I bought a door interlock assembly for a Hotpoint condenser tumble dryer (TCFM80CGPUK). However, the mechanism on this model is positioned on the left side of the front opening. It is not clear how to access it. After removing the top and the front upper panel, and then the left side panel, there is no obvious way to get at it. Can anyone advise? Thank you in advance.

Hi GLC, we have now included a video in the part description to help with the fitting of the door lock
The door won't stay shut on mu tumble dryer, I think the catch may have gone. Does anyone know how I get the old one out? there aren't any visible screws. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

To remove this door lock use a flat screwdriver and put the tip inside the entrance of the lock and apply a sideways pressure towards the side with the thicker edge. The lock should slide a few millimetres allowing the thinner fascia side to come away and the lock will then hinge inwards to allow removal.

The lock lip is pushed through and slid back into place to lock to the front panel.
I disconnected the wires from the interlock and can't remember where they now go. I changed the belt but was left with the door in the locked position with the door open. When I switched on the drum turned and heat was generated but when I pressed the on/off button the fuse blew. Are you able to tell me which wires go where when looking down from above facing rear to front? I have red/white and brown/white wires.
- looking at the drier from front redd&white wire to left brown&white in middle with single black to right.
Will this part fit my appliance?
