Washing Machine Door Interlock

Door locks need to be checked on a regular basis to ensure they work correctly. If the door is not locked correctly during the wash cycle, it could lead to water leaks from the machine. The door interlock is an electronic device that provides a time delay of approximately 2 minutes, once the wash cycle has been completed, before the washing machine door can be opened.

If your washing machine will not start, yet the relevant lights appear to be lit on the facia panel, it could be because the door interlock has failed. If the door closes, and the wash cycle is selected but still no joy - it may well be time for a new interlock.
