My dishwasher is just buzzing /vibrating. no water at all. it was flooding a bit before this, will this do the trick?

It sounds like water has filled the shallow tray in the base turning on the anti flood switch. Disconnect and tilt the machine 45 degrees to one side and if water runs from the base remove the base panel and dry. Examine for signs of leaks or damage, if none found reassemble and retry.
